Daniela is an accomplished cellist with an active orchestral career spanning the United States and Latin America. In 2025, she was selected as a fellow of the Orchestra of the Americas. Her recent engagements include performances with the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra, Longview Symphony Orchestra, Abilene Philharmonic, East Texas Symphony Orchestra, Plano Symphony Orchestra, and the Symphony of Southeast Texas. In 2025, she also served as principal cellist of Arlington Opera.
Originally from Colombia, Daniela previously performed as both principal and section cellist with the Youth Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra of Bogotá. She has appeared at international festivals including the Bendada Music Festival (Portugal), the Ávila Music Festival (Spain), and the International Music Festival of Esmeraldas (Ecuador). Her honors include the Orchestra of the Americas Fellowship, the Youth Talents Scholarship of Colombia, and recognition at the King’s Peak International Competition.
Guided by renowned cellist Juliette Herlin, Daniela holds an Artist Diploma in Cello Performance from Texas Christian University and OAcademy Music Conservatory, a Master’s degree from Sam Houston State University, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Conservatory of the National University of Colombia. She has also participated in master classes with internationally acclaimed artists including Kian Soltani, Santiago Cañón-Valencia, Leonard Elschenbroich, Astrid Schween, and Elisabeth Akins.
