THIS PROGRAM IS FULL, PLEASE VISIT BACK IN SEPTEMBER 2024 TO APPLY FOR NEXT SEASON! Come to New York for three days to immerse yourself in music-making, together with an international group of musicians, under the tutelage of Teresa Laiz Monsalve, Spain.
Rehearse masterpieces by the greatest composers and perform a program on the world-renowned stage of the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
Receive an archival, professional-quality video of your performance at Carnegie Hall.
Participate in an interview for media.
Tour the most well-known conservatories in the world.
Enjoy the camaraderie of fellow musicians from around the world, taking home lasting memories and friendships.

Important Dates:
November 1, 2023 – Deadline for Registration Admission.
November 15, 2023 – Deadline for the publication of the Semifinalists list.
November 22, 2023 – Deadline to confirm participation in the Live Galas (Madrid).
February 3, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. – Semifinals and Finals Gala at the Teatro Flamenco de Madrid (Teatro Alfil).
February 4, 2023, at 12:30 pm – Gala Grandes Figuras de la Castañuela at the Teatro (to be confirmed) in Madrid.
July 1, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. – Laureate Gala at Carnegie Hall at the Weill Recital Hall in New York.

Meet the Director

Dancer, Teacher, Composer and Concert Castanets.
Director/Founder of the International Castanets Festival.

Member of the International Dance Council CID - UNESCO.
Orchestra and Band Conducting Studies.

Degree in English Philology. PhD Courses in Linguistics.
Master in Personnel Management (ICADE). Teresa has performed on radio, TV channels (Rai TV, Canal Nord Catalunya Televisió, TV Costa Brava, Canal 4 Mancha Centro, Castilla y León TV -CyL, TVE2, Telecinco, TVE1, Telemadrid, Cuatro TV, Telebari, Antenna Sud – Canale 13), halls and theaters in Madrid, Ávila, Barcelona, ​​Salamanca, Valladolid, Albacete, Zamora, Girona, Huelva , Malaga, Calatayud, Palencia, Seville, Murcia, Italy, France, Vienna, USA; in festivals such as the International Festival of the Porta Ferrada in Sant Feliu de Guíxols (on various occasions), Festival des Articulés in Le Cheylard (France), International Castanets Festival, Festival Catalunya Contra el Cáncer; she accompanied by different musical groups from solo, duo (piano & castanets / guitar & castanets), string quartet, municipal music band or symphony orchestra. Teresa Laiz is the founder and director of the Orquesta OIR (Orquesta de Instrumentos Raros), as well as the Coro de Castañuelas de Madrid.

Registration fee is €120 for 1st Category (Concert OR Accompaniment)
