Qi Zhang is an internationally acclaimed pianist and educator, and the founder and director of Musart Music, one of the most influential and successful classical music education institutions in the New York metropolitan area. He received his early musical training at The Juilliard School, completing both Pre-College and undergraduate studies, and later earned his Master’s degree from Yale University, where he further refined his artistic vision, intellectual depth, and pedagogical approach.
As a pianist, Qi Zhang has won numerous national and international prizes and has performed extensively throughout the United States and abroad. His artistry is deeply rooted in the European classical tradition and is distinguished by structural clarity, expressive depth, and stylistic integrity.
Alongside his performing career, Qi Zhang has dedicated his life to music education and mentorship. In 2018, he founded Musart Music, which has since grown into a flagship institution serving hundreds of students and supported by a faculty of more than thirty distinguished artists and educators—many of whom are alumni or affiliates of The Juilliard School, Yale University, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the Manhattan School of Music. Under his leadership, Musart has become widely recognized for its rigorous training, nurturing environment, and exceptional student outcomes.
