We have been working for years with students of different ages, various goals, from elementary through high school, college students and graduates, young professionals, and chamber ensemble groups. In our Studio we provide nurturing environment for students’ personal growth, we help them learn technical skills necessary to be confident players, but more importantly, we teach them the art of communicating and expression through musical language. We teach our students wide variety of repertory, both solo and in chamber music collaboration; stage presence and ability to speak publicly; artistic etiquette; discipline; thoughtful and intelligent approach to practicing; supporting subjects such as music theory and history. Our students participate in numerous performances in varied settings: recitals, festivals, competitions, presentations, skill tests, TV shows, professional recording sessions. They perform on stages as contrasting as retirement communities and Carnegie Hall or Kennedy Center. We hope to send our students off with true life-long love for musical arts and strong skills which will allow them to continue to enjoy making music and bringing joy to themselves and others. MMAG LIVE! Featuring Edmund Dawe, Canadian Pianist and Educator

Music and Musicians Around the Globe Live! In today's program we interview Edmund Dawe to learn about his upcoming performance of Chopin Concerto No. 2 at Carnegie Hall with the Orchestra Manhattan conducted by David Wroe. Anna Ouspenskaya will interview Edmund to dive deeply into challenging topics of artistry, education, career paths, making dreams and aspirations come true. We will hear a few clips and get a peek-previews of Edmund's upcoming concert. ~~~~~~~ Critics say.... “sensitive, engaging, virtuoso." “In Dawe’s hands the many moods of the music were expressed with brilliance and clarity and a distinct picture emerged… He commanded the keyboard. He showed such confidence from the first bars he played that he had his audience at his command as well. The music seemed to flow right through Dawe to the keyboard. A standing ovation was rewarded with an encore. It was a fine night for the piano and the pianist.” “A spirited, but poetic reading of the Liszt Concerto No. 1 in E flat was just one of the highlights of the opening concert of a new season. [Dawe] is a thoughtful and exceptionally fine keyboard artist; and gave a splendid reading of the popular work by the Hungarian composer. It was a performance in the grand manner, but without the trappings of overwhelming pianistic acrobatics.” ~~~~~~ Today's Broadcast is brought to you by the VCHS Production Team: Frane Rušinović, Ante Božić-Kudrić, James Welch, Chris Au, Jennifer Wang, Marko Borna, Krisztian Palagyi, Anna Ouspenskaya, Katheryne Li, Fedor Ouspensky, and Igor Zubkovsky. Live from Florence! Toscana Classica and David Wroe | Part III

Today we are following our filming crew on yet another exploration of Music and Musicians Around the Globe! The journey takes us from our homes on an exciting tour to Italy, and its magic jewel of the city of Florence where history, culture, mystery, beauty, and music are woven into the very fabric of everyday existence. Our guest Gianriccardo Pera of Cicerone Music and Arts (CiMA) briefly introduces the mysterious and glorious history of the city of Florence, the Medici family, and the Santo Stefano al Ponte's 1,000 years of witnessing the arts and events. As we walk into this magnificent monument to human devotion to beauty, echoes of our modern shoes on the ancient floors are setting the mood to hear the next on the program: E. Grieg - Holberg Suite The reason we went to Florence? Well, because there we are witnessing the joy and the power of musicians coming together as artists, as humans, as historians, AND as international collaborators! In today’s divided world ridden with conflict and intolerance - music has a power to bring people together and remind us that at the core we still find commonality and share love for being together and creating together. We are taking you to a concert presented by Florentina Camerata whose Music Director Italian Maestro Giuseppe Lanzetta for this concert passed the baton and his place on the podium to a British American conductor David Wroe, who will lead the orchestra and the audience in today’s concert. Can your SETBACK really be a SETUP for the next level of your greatness? Case in point: Beethoven, arguably the greatest composer in history goes deaf at age 32, at the height of his career and fame. But in ONE pivotal moment Beethoven realized he could tune out the OUTSIDE and tune into his inner voice. It was from that inner sanctum that his greatest work would be generated. How about you? Are you ready to listen deeper to the inner voice that is positioned for your greatest success, but don't know how? You might be trying to hear God's voice for direction and asking: "Papa, can you hear me?" This episode JOY OVERFLOW featuring the piano music of Beethoven is designed to give HOPE. Beethoven was the ultimate 'Comeback Kid' and his story will inspire you to reframe the story in your head and tune into your inner voice for guidance.
